Katherine Graves
Background:
I graduated in 2017 from the University of Manchester with a Master’s in Physics.
Research Interests:
My main research interest is in energy recovery using pyrolysis from solid municipal waste, primarily plastic.
Why I chose the CDT in Bioenergy:
After graduating from Manchester, I decided that I wanted to continue in academia. I’ve always had an interest in renewable technologies and the structure of the bioenergy CDT will enable me to develop my knowledge, as bioenergy is not something I have studied before. Also, I think the opportunities that come with the CDT will be extremely beneficial to my career, such as developing transferable skills and the connections with industry.
